Sharing Jesus’ Love and Message in El Rosario
What do Christians in El Rosario, Baja California, Mexico, our radio and digital mission, and the Madison Church of Christ mission team have in common?
We love sharing the good news of Jesus through service, teaching, preaching, and broadcasting.
Forty-five of us met in San Diego, boarded five vans, and headed six hours south to the town of El Rosario. This was Brenda and my second mission trip down the Baja peninsula in the past two years. This time, we were blessed to have two of our grandsons with us, Ashton and Braden Poyet.

When we arrived in El Rosario on Saturday, the local church family prepared dinner for our team. Then, the real fun began!
I was blessed to preach on Sunday morning. We transformed the church building into a medical clinic and began constructing four picnic tables, that were used during the three-day VBS. Sunday night was filled with excitement as we drew attention to Jesus and the medical clinic by going to the local park and serving 200 hotdogs, played games, enjoyed two bounce houses, and had a great soccer match with about 40 kids and adults. Also, everyone that utilized the clinic received a card of encouragement with a QR code that led them to learn more about Christ on our La Voz Alegre App.

Our efforts bore fruit. We got up early Monday morning, ready to serve. The team I was part of cleaned and painted three houses in three days. The medical clinic served over 400 people from the community. Their services included a dentist, a medical doctor, nurses station, pharmacy, optical, a station to check vitals, and even a barber.
We also had the pleasure of talking with several visitors that attended our evening Bible classes. All of these efforts were in partnership with the local evangelist and his wife, Fredy and Alicia Chavaro. The impact was tangible, and we felt proud of what the Lord achieved through these efforts.
We pray the church in El Rosario will grow, sharing Jesus and using the media tools we provided to spread His Word throughout their region and the world.
